Our client is the market leading valuation service, property risk and mortgage automation service to lenders, and across the PropTech and FinTech sectors. They have seen double digit growth for the past 3 years, and are making significant investment in their product portfolio – looking for further growth & catalogue strengthening. They currently work with 18 of the top 20 banks!

They are presently seeking a Commercial Client Manager / Client Engagement Manager (job title tbc). They want someone with both ‘project delivery’ and ‘revenue generating’ ability.

You would be handed 2 of their best accounts (one of the big 6 banks and one of the largest BTL lenders) in order to account manage and maximise revenue. They believe they can double their licencing.

We have placed two candidates with this client previously, both of whom have received two promotions each, and good pay rises in last two years! So quick career progression and salary uplifts are likely in this role.

Salary: £90,000 – £100,000 base + bonus/comms + benefits

Location: London, Tower Bridge – hybrid working (minimum 2 days in office p/w).

Our Financial Services Team already works with 18 of the top 20 UK mortgage lenders, who use our risk management services and software to de-risk mortgage lending. Over the past two years, we’ve doubled our team and began to create a new suite of products that are already delivering results for our estate agents / housebuilders.

The Client Engagement Manager (CEM) is responsible for the successful delivery of contracted programmes of work, for the generation of revenue from those projects, and for follow-on sales; for example from further project phases or expansion into related areas of work.  The CEM also acts as the overall account manager, acting as a point of coordination and escalation for their accounts.

The CEM typically works across 1-2 of our largest clients, where there is already a mature commercial relationship, and current and future revenue is best generated through quality project delivery.

The CEM will have end-to-end responsibility for the overall commercial success of the accounts; leading new sales, coordination scoping of new projects, and assuring quality of delivery of inflight projects.  They will also have a broader input into improving and maturing the Commercial and Delivery functions in the business. This will include defining what good looks like and gaining buy in from internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be commercially astute, with experience of both new revenue generation (from existing clients) and project delivery involving software, data and business process change.

The CEM will shape and win new opportunities, using company Delivery Standards to structure the opportunity, the programme governance, structure, resourcing, delivery approach and competitive commercial model. To achieve this you will need to work with and across a range of teams.

The CEM will not generally be expected to lead on new logo sales; their focus is on growing and maintaining existing major accounts.

Key responsibilities

  • Relationship Management – developing trust and reliability with key client stakeholders, expanding the network of stakeholders into new client functions.
  • Business Development – Proactively identifying new opportunities within existing clients. Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, for nominated existing major clients.
  • Delivery Management – working with the delivery teams to define project scope, delivery approach, staffing and planning, dependency management. Ensuring client work is delivered to time, budget and quality expectations.



  • Experience in both project delivery and revenue generation in a professional services function.
  • Experience of consultative selling into clients with structured procurement processes
  • Expert delivery manager with experience in leading delivery through matrix/team structures
  • Commitment of building client relationships based on repeat, high quality delivery
  • Experience working with complex systems with integrations across multiple organisations
  • Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to adjust style and approach to each audience
  • Team spirit and excellent written and verbal communication
  • Exceptional customer service and organisational skills
  • Self-directed and keen to learn new skills and technologies
  • Confident and effective problem solving and analytical skills


  • Experience in Financial Services (Mortgage, Property, Banking), specifically property valuation or mortgage journey related software.
